I'm a little behind...

Seems like I never have time to blog anymore...wonder why?  Here are some photos from the last few weeks...

Opening Valentine's presents from Aunt TT...

Lily has recently decided she doesn't like to wear clothes when she goes to bed or at naptime.  First it was the clothes and then the diaper.  What a mess!  So in an attempt to try to keep her clothes on I decided to by her a few nightgows with her favorite characters on.  She loved them and so far so good!  

I had to work on Valentine's Day so we didn't celebrate and open gifts until I got home from work.  That morning while walking into work I fell on the ice in our parking lot.  I was so miffed because they apparently didn't realize that when all the snow melts and refreezes that it creates ICE.  So, needless to say I was very sore by evening.  I went to our occupational health doctor the next day and was told to take it easy, not lift much, and rest...easier said than done.  But I am feeling much better now...

Yesterday morning I went out to Avoca to have the girls pictures taken.  We went to Creative Images by Tammy Krummel.  She does such wonderful work and is so patient...I can't wait to see how they turned out.  Marley was such a trooper.  We did several outfit changes and by the time the last one came around she had had enough.  We took a break and I fed her.  Lily isn't a big fan of having her picture taken but when she found Tammys stash of fairy dresses, she came out of her shell.  She was even posing!  After Marley got done eating we tried the last outfit one more time but I'm not sure if she was able to get any good shots.  I got this outfit from my favorite site Etsy.  They pants are called "big butt baby pants".  The are so stinking cute!!!  The gal I ordered them from even sent along an iron on transfer to match!

Why didn't I think of this before?

I get lots of baby and parenting magazines in the mail.  Some free some subscribed to.  I had been noticing lots of coupons from Amazon for diapers.  One coupon is for 20% off diapers and the other one is $10 off your purchase in the baby store.  So I looked into it.  So far I have bought 2 boxes and have saved a total of $28.48 and got free shipping!  We are buying in advance so we have several sizes on hand.  Saturday night I ordered a box of 204 Pampers for $22.40.  I bought a box of 92 at Target for $19.99.  Seriously, I don't know why I never looked into this the first time.  I have 4 more coupons to use by March so I will be stocking up!!!

I had the cutest shirts and pants made for the girls.  I ordered them off one of my favorite sites...Etsy.  They turned out so cute! 

Marley is 3 months old!

Marley was 3 months old on Wednesday.  She is growing so fast!!!  She is still eating anywhere from 4-5 oz every 3 hours during the day and usually 5 oz at bedtime.  She sleeps from about 9:30 pm until 8 or 9 am.  Can't complain there...She still fits in to her newborn onesies and 0-3 month clothing and an occasional 3-6 month shirt depending on the brand.  She is busy batting at her toys and trying harder to get things into her mouth.  She just doesn't have the control to pick things up yet but will get there soon.  She loves to lay under her play gym and look at all of her toys.  The TV has also been a big hit. 

Marley still naps after every feeding.  Usually only cat naps in the morning, late afternoon, and evening.  She usually takes about a 2 hour nap after her noon bottle.  This allows me to get some things done around the house.

It appears that all the drooling and chewing of the hands is due to a couple of teeth!  The other day I peeked into her mouth and saw her 2 teeth on the bottom underneath the skin.  Over the past couple of days they are getting closer and closer to coming in.  Lastnight when I got home from work her little cheeks were so flush I knew she had a fever.  Sure enough it was 100.5 so we gave her a little Tylenol.  As of yet, her mood has been great...I'm sure that will change soon as more of them come in. 



 ...and she LOVES her hands! 

12 weeks old

Miss Marley was 12 weeks old yesterday!  She has recently discovered her hands and loves to stare at them.  I think she likes chewing on them even better.  She has been drooling like crazy and chewing on her hands so much one would think she was teething.  However, we don't see any signs of her little pearly whites.  Hopefully we will have a few months before that nightmare begins!  

Lily has apparently been a big help for daddy while I have been at work.  Lily has helped hold Marley's bottle for the first 2 oz while daddy gets Lily's breakfast ready.  Brian said she has done it twice and has done an excellent job.  I find it very hard to believe as Lily can't sit still for very long and Marley is a very fussy eater.  But the first 2 oz are always the easiest.  I wish he had taken a picture of our big helper...
