Marley is still quite difficult at times. If she isn't sleeping or eating she is usually fussing. She wants constant attention or for someone to hold her. Most people say she either sounds like a sick cow or a weedeater when she fusses. Argh... But overall I would still say she is a happy baby.

Miss Marley is 5 months old!
Marley was 5 months old yesterday. Mommy and Marley ran a few errands in the morning then relaxed most of the day. The weather was so darn hot we ended up turning on the air for her at home. She was getting so crabby and her poor cheeks were all red. I guess out utility bills will be higher this summer! Miss Marley wore the only short outfit she has. I have been reluctant to buy her anything because I didn't know what size she would be in come summer. She is 4 lbs lighter than Lily was at this age plus all of Lilys clothes from this age are winter.

Playtime
Marley is becoming more and more active every day. She grabs toys so easily now if they are placed in front of her.

Here are a few other things we just had made by Meg at Lavender Bird Creations... Lily is in LOVE with fairies so this dress was perfect for her.
Sisterly love. Actually Lily could care less about Marley at this point. She held onto her for a second then said here, take her...

Day trip to Shelby
Yesterday we packed up and drove out to Shelby for a visit. My dad and Cindy had only seen us once since Christmas and that was for Marley's baptism. The kids had a great time. We all brought our the kids motorized ride on jeeps and they had a blast. Lily never rides hers... she ended up riding around in the big Barbie jeep while Cash drove. The weather was so nice and warm then turned cold and windy by late afternoon.
I spent the majority of the time taking care of Marley and watched all the fun. She was an angel the whole day. After we ate they played a came of croquet... never done that before but it looked like fun. The guys played a few rounds of my dads favorite game... ship, captain, crew. Its a fun game of dice.
We headed out a little after 5 so we could be home in time to feed Marley her cereal at 6. We weren't on the road more than 5 minutes and Lily was out. Poor little girl even got a little sunburn. Guess I need to repack the diaper bag with suncreen! Oops...

Miss Marley enjoying the fresh air... This is one of her cute outfits I've gotten from my favorite seller on Etsy. The shop is called Lavender Bird Creations. Meg does such wonderful work and is so fast! She has made all of Marleys "Big Butt Baby" pants featured in earlier photos. She does all sorts of custom things... she even allowed me to pick out my own fabrics and she made each girl an outfit. They are in the mail as we speak. Will post the photos when we get them...

Lately...
Well first of all I am happy to say my liver biopsy results gave us an answer as to what caused all of my problems. It took until last Tuesday to get the results... Anyway the biopsy showed toxic amounts of estrogen meaning the birth control pills I started 3 months ago caused this. It is still unknown why it happened but I can never ever take BC pills again. I have a follow up with my OB/GYN tomorrow to get a game plan down and go over some of my other lab work. Couldn't be happier that there is no permanent damage at all! My skin color is starting to lighten up and am not itching quite as bad. My eyes are still yellow but I suspect that will be the last thing to improve since it was the first sign of the jaundice.
Miss Marley is eating her cereal like a champ now. She loves it! We had a trying couple of days last week where she was just not content. She wanted me in front of her all day long. Yikes, by the end of the day I was ready to pull my hair out! I decided to put her in the Moby wrap and carry her around. She loved it when she was a newborn and I guess she still does. We walked around the house and I was able to pick up a little. I bet it only took 20 minutes or so and she was out like a light. I am now looking into a better carrier that will offer a little more support for me. Can't wait, I love carrying her around and holding her. This will just make it easier for me to get things done at home.
Both Lily and Marley went to the doctor last Thursday with cold symptoms. Lily had been sick for a week and Marley for just a few days. When Marley screamed for nearly 3 hours Thursday AM I called the doctor. Thankfully she just has a cold and they suspected Lily has allergies. We started her on Claritin. Marley weighed in at 14 lbs .5 oz and Lily weighed 35 lbs... Healthy girls considering. Miss Lily still isn't getting any better and her symptoms have gotten worse so I am taking her back to the doctor this afternoon...

looks can be deceiving...
sporting Lily's bling bling from a b-day party...
fell asleep watching Max & Ruby... this is the 1st time she has EVER fallen asleep on the floor like this!
Lily loves wearing her nightgowns but now all of a sudden she has to wear pants with them... whatever, as long as she goes to bed. Then the next morning she had to have her red "betta day" shoes. Thats Lily code for ballet or ballerina we think...
Marley started out on the floor laying this way...
and wound up like this minutes later!
not feeling well...
